bitFlyer Europe and USA add support for new cryptocurrencies

Cryptocurrency exchange bitFlyer has announced that its European and American subsidiaries are adding support for a number of new cryptocurrencies.

bitFlyer’s Buy/Sell platform in Europe now supports Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Ethereum Classic (ETC), Litecoin (LTC), Lisk (LSK) and Monacoin (MONA), while bitFlyer USA customers will be able to buy and sell Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Ethereum Classic (ETC), and Litecoin (LTC).

With this, bitFlyer said that its customers will have an alternative to Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), the existing options on the Buy/Sell platform.

Andy Bryant, Co-head and COO, bitFlyer Europe, said that these new altcoins were previously only available to bitFlyer’s Japanese customers. He said that the exchange is now consolidating its offer across regions, thereby “building a global platform for traders all over the world.”

“By leveraging our experience in Japan, we can offer our European and US customers the same level of speed, simplicity and transparency as we already do for those trading Bitcoin and Ethereum,” he added.

bitFlyer expanded its operations to the United States in November 2017, followed by Europe in January 2018. It is the only cryptocurrency exchange to be licenced in Japan, the US and Europe combined, and is counted among the only 10 exchanges that aren’t faking trading volumes.
